Great weekend for the Saltaire Festival in Roberts Park, lots of stalls, people, music, food, beer and most of all "sunshine".
This blog was originally set up to show my images of the World Heritage Site of Saltaire, West Yorkshire. However, I also visit many other lovely places around Yorkshire, so I have decided to include images from them as well for you to enjoy.

Saltaire Snowy Mist
Had more snow overnight, but a lovely sunny morning to take a walk through Roberts Park in Saltaire. A snowy mist still hovered just above the ground for a little while, until it burnt off in the sunshine.

The snow creating a pretty scene across Roberts Park towards the Boathouse Inn with Salts mill further in the background. Not too many folks braving the cold today.

Flowers
A collection of flowers taken in Roberts Park last Sunday, one doesn't realise just how many different flowers there are in the park until you take a stroll with a camera and a photographer's eye.

Saltaire 24 February 2012
Lovely sunny day for these canal walkers and their reflections.
Love the sunny days and the shadows that one can find roaming about in Roberts Park.
Today I was walking along the canal when I saw this mural painted on a wall in the allotments across the canal. It is usually hidden by the trees, so can only be seen in the winter months. Trying out the black and white feature on my camera again.

Sir Titus Salt stands proud as the sun sets behind him.
Early evening on the canal, and still some frozen areas from the little freeze we just experienced.
Reflection of the moon amongst the tree branches in the canal.

Quite a new addition to Roberts Park, a sculpture of the Alpaca.
The adult swans still keeping their young in tow on the canal.
Saltaire 7 January 2012
Out and about on this very cold and windy day; looks like it wasn't affecting the dogs too much !
The weir on the River Aire in full flow after the rain.

The River Aire flooding across the pathway around Roberts Park.
Always someone taking a photo from this particular spot in the park.
