Morning tea break for some, just a leisurely stroll for others on the canal today.

 

The daffodils are out in full now creating a burst of bright yellow in the gardens of the Riverside Apartments.

The Boathouse Inn beer garden is finished and looking quite smart. It now has a larger area of seating and a nice grassy area to take advantage of in the summer.

I moved to Saltaire last summer and today whilst strolling along the canal path I realised just how much the landscape and the trees change from season to season, producing  a totally different perspective along the canal with respect to light and shade and changing colour schemes.

I continued my walk into Hirst Wood where the bare trees cast long shadows and the dogs ran with very long sticks...lol.  It would be interesting to do a photography project on the woods and how they change with the seasons.

The warm weather is stirring the flower buds into action as this Daffodil is on its way to announce that spring is nearly here.

Solitary man:  one bowler catching up on his practise on the Saltaire Bowling Green.

 

Sometime during the day you can always catch the ducks being fed; this little girl is enjoying seeing them with her grandparents.

This particular one gave me the b..s up, so just had to take it.
